Cylinders were what I spent a long time on in the old days. Certainly the barrels were not parallel to anything. Just garage stuff. Now it is so nice to have good machine shops that make them the same size up and down. Can't always find anyone to do it. The first picture is of my old reliable, Big Red, a 68 Bonnie. I spent a lot of time on that bike. Miss it! Cylinders were sized to 0.055 inches clearance at bottom of bore. The center bottom picture shows the early lifters. Use 70-8801 which is the update lifter.
